Today’s drawing

My miniature amaryllis has grown so tall, and heavy that the stalks were falling over.

I have put them in a vase – and washed the soil off the bulb and roots and dried them.

I had no real plans for how the drawing should look, but chose to work in pencil. I have used a 2B propelling pencil and enjoyed exploring the endless tones and markings that can actually be made with this humble drawing tool.
