Vintage Sewing

I do enjoy a good flea market or going through a charity shop. Most often, I do not know what I am looking for, until I find something.

I always buy old sewing bits and bobs – often needle books lovingly made many years ago – but – this does have to be one of my favourite finds.

So precisely sewn and knitted a nine centimeter figure of a lady with her trenchcoat on, a shopping bag in one hand and her knitting (balls of wool and knitting needles) in the other. I know nothing about where she is from or why she was made – but she is a delight to own.
