The above gentleman was completely unknown to me a while ago. The American artist lived from 1877-1943, and Louisiana the Danish museum for modern art, has an extensive exhibition of his works at present. Marsden led a difficult life as a homoseksuel, but was able to travel a lot and met many authors and artists of the time. His works vary from landscapes to abstract paintings, and symbols of war to muscular men and some are very very dark some extremely colourful. Many show the influence of other artists e.g. Picasso, Delaunay and Cezanne.
The exhibition is certainly worth seeing and gives you something to think about
