This wonderful charcoal sketch of Grand Canyon by David Hockney, is on exhibition at the mordern art museum in North Zealand – Louisiana. The sketch is divided by a grid and the actual painting is made up of many canvasses.
I participated in a two hour workshop to try my hand at some charcoal landscaping inspired by this work. Hockney has been one of my favourite artists for many years and at the age of 82 he i still painting and experimenting with tehcnology.
