Textiles in the UK

I have been fortunate to be in the Colchester area for a few days where there was an inspiring exhibition – WILD – Art Textiles in Britain. The exhibitors include such esteemed artisits as Cas Holmes, Sandra Meech, Sylvia Paul and Louise Baldwin (images above in the same order)- and it is certainly worth a visit if you are in the vicinity. There are so many different techniques and expressions although all the artists are using fabric and thread as their media and working under the common title “WILD”.
