These very quick sketches were drawn whilst watching a natural history programme about snowy owls. They had to be quick as the owls were moving all the time, but drawing from the TV is a good exercise in observation. I chose the inside of an envelope as my paper, to enable me to draw with a white oil pastel. The other birds were drawn as outlines and colour added later. These are by no means finished or great drawings, but part of an ongoing learning curve.
