Geliplate

Yesterday I wandered into the  weird and wonderful world of geliplate printing.

Anne Lorenzen, a local artist, was offering a 4 hour basic workshop, so I decided to see if the technique worked for me. I am used to monoprinting, using a glass plate.

Anne is a great tutor – all materiales were included and everything in place when we arrived. She took us through the pros and cons and introduced us to different ways of working. Throughout the afternoon, different methods were demonstrated – so we managed to make lot of different prints in a very short time

There were tools and stencils of every kind to experiment with and finally  we worked with organic matter = weeds from the garden. There was no time to take notes, but Anne had kindly provided us with a list of where to shop and all the possibilities we had tried out.

This is definitely  something I would like to take further
