Every tiny bit of land on The Faroes, even on the mountain sides, can be used for growing potatoes. This has resulted in a patchwork pattern of square and rectangular plots where potatoes have grown or are still growing. Along side these man-made patterns are beautiful natural geological ridges. I made several sketches of these patterns in my sketchbook and, back home had a bit of fun making some small (and quick) fabric sketches to put into the book.
