Altered books – pages

Some of the pages of the books have been carefully removed, to accomodate anything that will be added. I am very particular about which pages I keep. In the dictionary I wanted to keep at least one page for each letter. In the flower book it was the beautiful illustrations that helped to make the decision. The pages need to be treated with gesso or acylic paint so they can deal with the watercolour paints and some are sewn or stuck together to make them more sturdy. The books are in Danish, but I have added the meaning of the flowers, in English – the translations just didn’t seem the same.
