Stitch and Upcycling

I am a “waste not want not” person – so nothing goes in the bin unless it is absolutely necessary and it cannot be used in any other way.

I keep all the left overs ie. bits of old embroidery, stitch experiments and old lace etc. The tiny bits go into a jar on my work table – the pieces , that are a bit bigger, into a basket. Once in a while I empty the basket, or the jar, and may find something useful, that I had forgotten about.

This book is made of pieces from the basket. The scraps take on a new life when they are placed next to each other and might even be a catalyst for  a new idea.
