Cutting in to the sheer fabrics that I have used for my tree picture, I once or twice cut into more layers than I wanted to. The fabric is wiggly and transparent, not making things easier. I have discovered these scissors that are recomended for working with applique, and I am sure, that I will find them useful in future projects. They are reasonably priced and come in both a left- and right handed version. They are aptly named duckbill scissors.
