I have continued my work on the tree picture, layering the sheers and stitching them in place, bit by bit and forever changing the thread (and bobbin) to match the colour. As some of the pieces needed are tiny and the fabric is also very wiggly I have often used bigger pieces – cutting them to shape after sewing. Taking photos of the WIP can make it easier to see what is needed, as is looking at the piece from a distance or in a mirror.
