As I still wanted to have a reference to Italian Architecture, in my book, and not just the letters and envelopes, I made two sewn pieces to put in the book. I used fabric scraps and FME inspired by a couple of my own photos. I attatched a scrap of embroidery with hand stitching and “continued ” the pattern using a needle to make tiny holes in the paper. I also made an impression of the embroidery on pressed paper and chose to embroider some of the pattern using back stitch and fine wool.
