The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me and welcome to my blog

Hi I am Jennifer Mary and I live near Copenhagen although I was born and bred inYork in the UK. I would like to show you some of work

I spend a lot of my time drawing -on paper with pencils, pens, ink, pastels and practically anything else that can make a mark. I also draw with thread and fabric using my sewing machine and FME or as pure relaxation by hand using any variety of stitches in an intuitive way.

At present i have three machine sewn pieces in an exhibition called Collective Stitches at the Knitting and Stitching Show. The textile artist Dionne Swift has curated the exhibition.We are 26 ladies from 10 different lands, participating. All pieces are approximatley 30X30 cm and heavily stitched. Mine are inspired by some pastel drawings I made of bark

At the zoo

I enjoy drawing at the zoo in Copenhagen and last time I was there I spent a little time with the birds
